The foundresses on mission

MARINE BRAQUET & PAULE TENAILLON

“We are committed to sustainable fashion that respects the environment throughout the creative process.”

Having worked for some of Paris's most prestigious luxury houses (Dior, Chloe, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy, among others), we met three years ago in a luxury shoe factory in Venice. Together, we decided to create NOMASEI, with the aim of reconnecting with timeless, honest luxury, based on respect, sharing, ethical commitment and transparency. We are inspired by the stories of strong, free and rebellious women, and by dance as a gesture of freedom.

GENUINE PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

Paule

Designing shoes was my vocation, I've been designing them since I was 12, so before studying fashion design at Studio Berçot in Paris, I studied technical shoe design.

Today, I have 25 years' experience as a shoe designer for some of the biggest luxury brands, including Chloé, where Marine and I first met, as well as Jil Sander, Jimmy Choo, Givenchy and many others...

I also spent 5 years designing tango shoes in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There I learned how to create shoes with thin heels that you can dance in all night non-stop.

Marine

I graduated from Sciences Po and the IFM in Management. I have 10 years of experience as a product manager and footwear collection director and worked for Chloé, at Louis Vuitton and Dior.

I have always felt the pulse of society. My humanistic and ecological values have shaped my critical thinking. Big causes have always been my biggest driver.

From our common values was born Nomasei, a response to our desire to make the luxury industry more respectful of women who consume it, thinking really about them. This strong ethic, both human and environmental, has been part of the foundation of Nomasei from the very beginning.

OUR MOST BEAUTIFUL ENCOUNTER

A FAMILY-RUN BUSINESS, AN ESSENTIAL PARTNER IN THE NOMASEI ADVENTURE

A meeting with a luxury shoe factory in the Tuscan village of Montopoli gave shape to Nomasei. This family-run business with shared values became the project's essential partner. Nomasei's dominant colors are a tribute to this collaboration: Montopoli red, the color of terracotta, the typical terracotta of the Tuscan hills and Siena, and the yellowed white of Pompeii marble.
