THE NOMASEI FAMILY - Episode 4
Camille Machet Sostaric, founder of Early June, a natural wine bar that invites chefs in residence from around the world, wears Nomasei every day and answers our questions.
- What do you do for a living ? “I'm a restaurateur and sommelier, almost every night in the dining room at Early June.”
- What's your mantra ? “Nothing is more serious than pleasure (that's from Jean Cocteau I think) because what's important to me is that feeling of revelry and epicureanism in all aspects of life, from the professional to the intimate."
- Your best stress management tip ? “Play my playlist of the moment.”
- How do you feel in your Nomasei ? “Incredible comfort! I very often wear small heels, even on duty. The Drivers have a much higher heel than what I usually wear, but the perceived height is actually very low. They're real slippers!”
- Your comfort zone ?
"I have two. Spontaneously I'd say my studio. I live in the marsh, a tiny apartment that I set up in order to anchor myself there after a sort of long desert crossing with no real “home”. It's where I like to take my time in the morning, read a book, make my coffee, do a bit of sport and get ready before the service !
Every year, I join my friend Bénédicte in the Balearics at the end of June/beginning of July. Often in Ibiza in the north of the island, it's a place of comfort, a landmark in the year. I love going back there and having our routines together. My comfort is the combination of this land with its special light, the energy of the sea and the presence of my friend.”
- Your styling advice? “Indulge yourself and dress for yourself. An outfit that gives you self-confidence, that looks like you. I like colors, I don't have a no-go, I like to wear at least one piece that's a little 'weird' or surprising in shape or color. I like things that break away from uniformity and impersonality.”
