Key stages
The first step is to cut each piece of leather precisely to the pattern. This operation is carried out by hand or with semi-automated tools to ensure optimum use of raw materials and reduce waste.
The leather pieces are then prepared through various operations such as slitting (refining the leather) and trimming (thinning the edges). These steps ensure uniform thickness and impeccable stitching.
The pieces of leather are assembled to create the upper, which forms the upper part of the shoe. This operation requires great precision to guarantee strength and aesthetic appeal. Our craftsmen ensure that every seam is perfect.
At the same time, the sole is prepared. Depending on the model, it may be made of leather, rubber or mixed materials. This stage includes cutting and adding the various components to ensure comfort and durability.
The heels are dressed in leather or other noble materials and the “good toe” is attached. This essential part reinforces the structure of the heel to guarantee stability and comfort.
Reinforcements are added to the inside of the shoe for strength and support. These components are carefully integrated so as not to alter comfort.
The upper is placed on a last, a crucial step that defines the shoe's final silhouette. The lasts are carefully crafted to respect the model's design and guarantee a perfect fit.
Assembly involves joining the upper, sole and other components. Each step is carried out by hand by expert craftsmen, guaranteeing an impeccable finish and long-lasting sturdiness.
The sole is attached to the shoe, usually by gluing and stitching. This step ensures the solidity of the structure while respecting the aesthetic requirements of the model.
The heel is securely fastened with nails, guaranteeing its durability. This operation, carried out by hand, testifies to the attention paid to detail.
The shoes go through a thorough inspection before being carefully polished and finished. Finishing includes steps such as edge tinting, polishing and the application of protective treatments.
